One has read about it in geography books in school and
now can experience it first hand that Wednesday is
officially the longest day of the year in the Northern
Hemisphere or the summer solstice.

In national capital New Delhi, the sunrise was at 5.24
am (IST) and it will set at 7.22 pm (IST).

On the day of the 'summer solstice', the sunrays are
perpendicular to the Tropic of Cancer.

At 12.23 pm (IST) the sun will be seen at its highest
point from Delhi and it will be about 84.8 degrees
high in the sky at that time. There will be very small
shadows under the sun.

Nehru Planetarium and the Amateur Astronomers
Association have arranged observations and
presentations at the Jantar Mantar and the
Planetarium, which will be open to the public.

So what if every day looks 'the longest day of the year' when you are in office.
So enjoy the longest day. Have a Wonderful Day ahead...

Was in office till 10:00 in the night. I.T. sucks. Are you in the IT industry too? Suggest an alternative career path, bro. I cant live like this.

Guns Yo mam, me too in IT industry, but hey take up fishing, though working is similar, you put a hook into the water and pretend you are waiting ( read working!!!) and doze off...hmmm some time you catch some fish too. just like IT industry, you check emails and drinks lots of coffee and Viola!!!get paid too :),besides sometime we work too and complain about Looooongest day.

other benefits:
-free lunch,
-pretty hr executives ....the list goes on.

I'd most probably spend my longest day working on a good story if not a book. Finding time to write is almost impossible these days.

Hmm... Creativity does root from Self-confidence. But it's really ironic, some people are inspired by a lack of confidence, some by pain some by ignorance and the list goes on and on and on. Instincs are the only assurance we have when capsuled for a creative spur. So yeah, I guess youre right. Trust your instincs.

hmmm...interesting to know about your idea of spending longest day, (can't belive!!, there are more interesting things then, sleeping..zzz).

Agree with you totally. One can still comeup with a good story not being just 'CREATIVE'.

My most creative story sessions were druing my school days, when each and every day i cooked up a new 'CREATIVE' story to excuse from my Home Work :)
